| Abstract |
The rising toll of climate impacts presents a significant challenge to human and environmental health,
economic vitality, national and international security and more especially on the forest resources which
are key in the climate mitigation. Beekeeping and Honey Production can play a pivotal role in helping
communities adapt to the effects of climate change through income generation and promoting forest
conservation thereby contributing to climate change mitigation and adaptation. Capacity building of local
communities in beekeeping and honey production, especially in areas where deforestation is high, can
contribute to the actualization of the National Forest Policy and the National Policy on Climate Change. |
