Abstract |
Therefore, the objective of this work is to evaluate growth and development of maize cultivation, making use of combined green and mineral fertilization. And, an experiment was installed at the Experimental farm of the Faculty of Agrarian Sciences, located in Ngongoinga in the commune of Calima, Huambo city. It has brown ferralitic soil. The experimental area was divided into three (3) randomized blocks and the treatments used during the test were: T1: soil + P2O5 - K2O; T2: soil + Crotalaria + P2O5 - K2O; T3: soil + Crotalaria + N- P2O5 - K2O; T4: soil + Mucuna + P2O5 - K2O; T5: soil + Mucuna + N- P2O5 - K2O; T6: soil + N- P2O5 - K2O (Witness). And the evaluated parameters related to plant height, stem diameter, leaf number, fresh weight and dry corn plants. There was a significant difference in height, diameter and number of corn plant in treatments T5 and T3 in relation to the other treatments during the four periods, ie in the (15, 30, 45 and 60 days) after germination. It was concluded that the best growth and development of the maize crop were verified in the T5 and T3 treatments.
