Abstract	Four drought indicators were calculated for the Cuvelai-Basin in Namibia and Angola. Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI), Standardized Precipitation Evapotranspiration Index (SPEI), Standardized Soil Moisture Index (SSI) and the Standardized Vegetation Index (SVI). Three of them were merged to the socalled Blended Drought Index (BDI) that is a copula-based consolidation of the individual drought indicators and their specific characteristics.	?
