| Abstract |
In order to be able to install Mike Cotton automatic weather stations (AWS) and to deal with various problems that can arise with these AWS, a comprehensive manual was compiled to assist managers/technicians in the maintenance of their AWS. This manual is not only directed at managers/technicians that have experience with installation and troubleshooting of AWS, but is also meant for managers/technicians for whom this is the first time they are introduced to AWS’s.
Apart from troubleshooting, differences between the two types of AWS are explained, as well as the calibration of sensors (where and when if necessary), equipment needed, installation procedures, maintenance, troubleshooting and tower manipulation. |
